Regional Behavioral Health Listening Sessions in Santa Fe, New Mexico

About Santa Fe County

Welcome to the Regional Behavioral Health Listening Sessions, an inclusive initiative led by Santa Fe County. Our mission is to amplify the voices and lived experiences of our community members, empowering them to help shape the future of behavioral health care throughout Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the surrounding behavioral health region. By participating in these virtual listening sessions, you are taking an active role in a statewide effort established under Senate Bill 3 (SB3) – the Behavioral Health Reform and Investment Act. This progressive legislation calls for a more integrated, community-driven behavioral health system that prioritizes the needs and experiences of our diverse populations.

Santa Fe County is part of Behavioral Health Region One, a region defined to include the Jicarilla Apache Nation, Pueblos of Namb?, Ohkay Owingeh, Pojoaque, Santa Clara, San Ildefonso, Tesuque, as well as the Counties of Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, and Santa Fe. Also included are the Cities of Española and Santa Fe, the Town of Edgewood, and the Village of Chama. Together, these areas form a powerful coalition for change, dedicated to enhancing access to quality behavioral health services and shaping policies that reflect real community needs.

These listening sessions provide a vital platform for stakeholders to identify and articulate regional priorities. The aim is to collaboratively develop a four-year plan designed to strengthen behavioral health services across Santa Fe County and its neighboring communities. By building partnerships with local organizations, healthcare agencies, and all three branches of government, Santa Fe County ensures its approach to mental health care is comprehensive, sustainable, and rooted in local reality.

Our approach prioritizes inclusivity, transparency, and results. Every participant's insights help guide key decisions on service delivery, resource allocation, and healthcare policies. Whether you are a resident, a community leader, a healthcare provider, or an advocate for mental health, your voice will make a difference.

If you – re seeking positive change, expanded access to mental health resources, or a more engaged, empathetic care environment in Northern New Mexico, Santa Fe County's Behavioral Health Listening Sessions are for you. Let's come together and build a brighter, healthier future for everyone in our region. Join us at one of our upcoming virtual sessions – your insights matter, and together, we can make a lasting impact.
